Mullein Leaf Extract in BreathiZen

Soft leaf, first on the label.

Mullein leaf extract (10:1) leads the ingredient list on the BreathiZen bottle.

Meet the plant

Mullein, known to botanists as Verbascum thapsus, is a tall plant covered in thick, velvety, silver-green leaves. In summer it sends up a long stalk with small yellow flowers. BreathiZen uses the leaf.

What 10:1 means

On the label, the leaf is listed as a 10:1 extract. In simple terms, about ten parts of dried leaf are used to make one part of finished extract, so the extract is a concentrated form of the plant.

Its place in BreathiZen

The brand puts mullein leaf extract first in a 154 mg proprietary blend and links the formula to healthy airways and breathing comfort.* The label gives one total for the three plant extracts together, so there is no separate milligram figure for mullein.

Using it day to day

Nothing to brew or measure. You shake the bottle, spray four pumps and you are done. To meet the other two plants, open ginger root extract or organic lemon extract, or look at the full proprietary blend guide.
